Designed By Sam Rettig
Our Lead Designer, Sam, describes her creative process as a "napkin sketch mentality"—an intuitive, freeform approach where pages of loose sketches evolve into the foundations of a design.
From these initial drawings she develops 3D-modeled concepts, exploring proportion and presence before honing in on the form that feels most alive. While function is always essential, form takes the lead; she views each fixture as "art with a purpose."
Influenced by the Bauhaus and Memphis design movements as well as by the creative partnership of Ray and Charles Eames, Sam draws inspiration from contrasts—precision and playfulness, structure and spontaneity—to create lighting that's both expressive and enduring.
